Mounting inner circlips and outer circlips safely and quickly

Retaining rings are widely used in automotive and mechanical engineering for the fixation of bearings. A distinction is made between two types: Inner rings, which are used in bores, and outer rings, which are used on shafts. ELORA offers a wide range of circlip pliers for fast and safe assembly and disassembly.

Easy assembly and disassembly even in difficult spaces

The different tip shapes of our “Seeger® ring pliers” or circlip pliers allow you to react flexibly to different assembly situations. Circlip pliers with angled tips of 90 degrees not only allow easy assembly and disassembly of circlips in difficult space conditions.

They also make it easier to see into the work area, as the hand and pliers are positioned next to each other rather than on top of each other.

Circlip pliers for inner circlips and for outer circlips

ELORA retaining pliers are used to fit Seeger® rings according to DIN 471 and DIN 983 (external retaining rings) and DIN 472 and DIN 984 (internal rings).
The pliers are made of 31CRV 3. Modern hardening and tempering processes, as well as permanent controls, guarantee uniform through-hardening and the best possible structure for each pair of pliers. Our circlip pliers have a hardness of 46HRC in the working area.

Ergonomic with a perfect weight distribution and grippy checkered legs – so the pliers meet the highest quality parameters at ELORA.

The most important part of a locking pliers are the tips. ELORA pliers are equipped with concave, cylindrical tips. This special design ensures absolutely secure guidance of the rings to be spread, reduces the risk of breakage and increases wear resistance due to the tight fit of the ring on the tip of the pliers. ELORA pliers comply with DIN 5224 or DIN 5256 in terms of tip accuracy.

Our dip insulated pliers for external retaining rings are equipped with a spiral spring. Our pliers with checkered handle are supplied with a leaf spring.
The advantage of leaf springs compared with spiral springs is greater wear resistance and a larger, linear spring range. Additionally, they are riveted and therefore cannot be lost.

The ELORA assembly pliers

The Circlip Plier for external retaining rings 469 were developed for mounting external retaining rings without gripping holes. These are installed, for example, in engines, transmissions, clutches and differentials.

Best possible application

When handling retaining rings or Seeger® rings, one thing must always be observed: The size of the ring and the size of the circlip pliers must always match. All circlip pliers from ELORA have the respective permissible ring diameters printed on them to provide quick orientation.

Since the thin working tips react sensitively to overloading, the largest possible plier should always be used for the existing ring.
